A little setup, then peace of mind
Get Guard ready.
Start with the essentials. You can fine-tune individual protections later.
Put Guard’s role above the accounts it protects against.
In Discord, open Server Settings → Roles. Move Guard’s highest role above the staff and bots it may need to act on, and check its required permissions.
Run the setup that matches your bot.
On Guard Public, the server owner runs
/guard-setupto open the guided activity. On a personal bot, start with/setup.Choose protections, trusted users and logs.
Review a profile before applying it. Let the guided setup create logs, or run
/presetlogsafterwards.Check one module and its report.
Open
/panelor the dashboard. Review its state, limit, sanction and exemptions. Use a separate test server to check the behaviour before relying on it.
A protection at a glance
These settings belong to one module. Changing one module does not apply the same rules to every other protection.
- Action limit
- 3 actions / 1 hour
- Sanction
- Remove roles
- Exemptions
- Owner list + selected roles
- Logs
- # guard-logs
Enable a protection to make it act. Changing its limit does not enable a disabled module.
With a limit of 3 / 1h, an account can perform up to 3 actions in the rolling hour. The next action exceeds the quota. An Anti-Mass maximum of 0 reacts to the first action.
A destructive burst can trigger protection earlier. Recovery may group affected changes during an attack. For isolated excess actions, earlier legitimate actions are not all automatically undone.
Read the report. A confirmed sanction, a partial sanction and successful recovery are different results. Deleted messages cannot be recovered.
The command reference
Find the thing you want to do.
Use slash commands inside your server. Discord shows the available options as you type; select members and channels in its menus.
Getting started
/autoconfigAutomatic setup
Apply Balanced protection, enable whitelist exemptions and automatically fill missing log destinations.
- Move Guard’s highest role to the top of the server’s role list and give it Administrator permission, then run /autoconfig.
- Guard applies Balanced protection with invitation-only link filtering, keeps existing action quotas and log destinations, and uses six grouped log channels for missing destinations.
- Use Add to whitelist to select members or bots, then confirm. You can also use /whitelist later. Click the diagnostic button to check the setup privately.
/autoconfigSetup takes effect immediately. Only add accounts you trust: they bypass protections with whitelist support. This does not grant command or dashboard access. Existing owner, independent and role exemptions are kept. Anti-DDoS, captcha, badword and honeypot activation stays unchanged. Existing log channels are not deleted.
Link to this command ↗/checkCheck your protection
Check Guard’s permissions, role position, active protections and log destinations.
- After setting up Guard, run /check in the server. The result is visible only to you.
- Read the items to review and follow their instructions. Use /panel for individual settings or /presetlogs for log channels.
- Run /check again after making changes. Large reports have page buttons.
/check/check replies privately; !check replies publicly in the channel. Both require the server owner or an active delegate. Unauthorized text commands receive no reply. This command does not change settings, punish anyone or simulate a raid. None is a valid sanction choice.
Link to this command ↗/guard-setupGuided setup
Set up Guard inside a guided Discord activity.
- Run the slash command in the server you want to protect, using its owner’s account or an active delegated administrator’s account.
- Follow the activity, choose your protections and allowed users, then review the changes.
- Choose whether Guard should create your logs, and confirm to apply your settings.
/guard-setupThis activity belongs to Guard Public. On a personal Guard bot, use /setup. If the activity cannot open, /setup remains available.
Link to this command ↗/setupProtection profiles
Choose a profile, customize it and apply it after reviewing the changes.
- Choose Essential, Balanced, Reinforced or Maximum, or start from the current configuration.
- Review the enabled protections, sanctions and limits. You can choose allowed-user lists for all or selected modules.
- Open the review, check what will change, then confirm. You can also save and reuse a custom profile.
/setupAll four standard profiles include voice protection. Applying a profile can change existing module settings; read the review before confirming.
Link to this command ↗/panelIndividual protections
Adjust one protection without applying a complete profile.
- Choose a module, then enable or disable it.
- Choose its sanction, allowed users and logs. Supported modules also have an action limit and time window.
- Use the buttons to edit a value. Review the updated module before moving on.
/panel/panel v2:trueThe familiar panel opens by default. Set v2 to true for the newer interface. The /owner list alone does not grant access to /panel.
Link to this command ↗/presetlogsOrganize log channels
Keep logs together, group them by topic, or use a separate channel for each protection.
- Run /presetlogs and choose one channel per protection, grouped channels, or one channel for everything.
- For each destination, let Guard create a channel or select an existing text channel. Grouped logs cover channels, roles, members, messages, server events and voice.
- Review and confirm to apply. If old log channels were replaced, keep them or confirm their deletion separately. Doing nothing keeps them. Channels still in use are kept; cleanup stops during raids or recovery.
/presetlogsNew channels are private under @Logs. Existing channels keep their permissions. All protections, including Anti-DDoS, are included; only log settings change. Guard needs access to selected channels and permission to create new ones.

/captchaVerify new members
Choose a private shuffled keypad or web verification before members receive an access role.
- Create a verification channel and a normal Verified role below Guard. Restrict other channels to verified members using Discord permissions.
- Choose the channel, role and verification type in /captcha, then enable it. Guard prepares only that channel: newcomers can view but not write, and the Verified role hides it. Use Message to customize the embed and save your changes.
- Members click Verify. Web verification can report shared networks and VPN signals; enable anti-alt only if you want linked newcomers kicked.
/captchaDisabled by default. Network checks require web verification; a shared connection does not prove two accounts belong to the same person. Detected VPNs can be asked to disconnect and retry. Configuration is separate from /panel and presets.
Link to this command ↗/honeypotSet a trap channel
Choose a clearly marked channel where non-exempt members must not post, and decide what Guard should do.
- Choose an existing text channel under Rules. Clearly label it as a channel where members must not write.
- Choose delete only, timeout, remove roles, kick or ban. Set Exemptions and an optional separate Logs channel.
- Select Enable and confirm. Changing the trap channel disables protection until you confirm again.
/honeypotDisabled by default. The server owner and active delegates are exempt. Bots, plain webhooks and system messages are ignored. Threads are excluded unless you opt in. Configure this separately from /panel and preset profiles.
Link to this command ↗/badwordFilter unwanted words
Choose ready-made language lists, add your own words and preview matches before enabling the filter.
- Choose one or more starter languages in Lists. Use Your words and Allowed words to adjust them.
- Choose an optional sanction, ignored channels, exemptions and a Logs channel. Try a message privately with the test button.
- Enable protection when ready. Every saved change takes effect immediately.
/badwordDisabled by default. Whole words and phrases are matched without case or accent differences. The server owner and active delegates are exempt; use the test button to test as an owner. This filter is configured separately from /panel and preset profiles.

/ownerGuard’s owner list
Manage trusted accounts in Guard’s owner list for this server.
- Run /owner to inspect the list.
- Use action add or remove and select a member. Clear removes the whole list.
- In each protection, enable Owner list only where those accounts should be exempt.
/owner/owner action:add user:@Alex/owner action:remove user:@AlexThis list is not Discord server ownership. It can grant access to commands such as /antiddos, /whitelist and /presetlogs, but does not grant /setup, /panel or dashboard access.
Link to this command ↗/whitelistWhitelisted accounts
Keep a list of accounts that selected protections may trust.
- Run /whitelist to inspect the list.
- Add or remove a selected member. Use clear only when you want to empty the list.
- Open /panel and enable Whitelist under Exemptions for the modules where it should apply.
/whitelist/whitelist action:add user:@Alex/whitelist action:remove user:@AlexBeing whitelisted does not automatically exempt an account from every protection and does not grant dashboard access. A module’s own list and role exemptions are separate.
Link to this command ↗/delegateLet trusted admins manage Guard
Give up to two trusted administrators access to Guard on this server. They can configure protections, use the dashboard and are exempt from Guard’s protections while their delegated access is active.
- The server owner opens /delegate. The person you want to add must already be a server member with Discord’s Administrator permission. Guard refuses the addition if that permission is missing.
- Choose Add an administrator and select the person. Changes save automatically. There are two slots per bot and server. Delegates can use /panel, /setup and /antiddos, plus the dashboard. On Guard Public, they can also open /guard-setup.
- To revoke access and free a slot, use Remove an administrator or the remove command below. Clear removes every delegate. Delegates cannot manage this list themselves.
/delegate/delegate action:add user:@Alex/delegate action:remove user:@Alex/delegate action:clearLosing Administrator immediately suspends delegated access, including open menus. The person keeps their slot and becomes active again if Administrator is restored. This command does not give Discord permissions. Guard’s /owner and /whitelist lists are separate; delegation never grants internal bot commands or Manager access.

/antiddosVoice protection
Manage voice protection for occupied voice channels across the server.
- Open /antiddos in the server. No voice-channel argument is needed.
- Check whether protection is enabled and select a Logs channel.
- Use Scan when you need Guard to check the occupied-channel list again. Review the incident report after a disruption.
/antiddos!antiddosVoice protection is disabled by default. Enable it explicitly when needed. Guard may refresh a channel’s region; it never disconnects or sanctions participants.
Link to this command ↗/langueLanguage
Choose the server’s language from the supported languages.
- Run /langue, then select a language in one of the two menus.
- Use the server language for shared bot output and text commands.
/langueSlash-command replies automatically follow the user’s Discord language when supported. Changing your VPN does not select a Discord language.
Link to this command ↗/prefixText command prefixes
View, add, remove or reset the prefixes used by text commands.
- Run /prefix to inspect the current prefixes.
- Choose an action and enter the prefix, or use the menu buttons.
- Try a permitted text command with the new prefix. Slash commands stay available.
/prefix/prefix action:add prefix:?/prefix action:remove prefix:?/prefix action:resetText commands are restricted. Most require the server owner or a configured bot operator; !antiddos also accepts Guard’s owner list. Unauthorized text commands deliberately receive no reply.

/helpCommand help
Find the available commands and their usage from inside Discord.
- Run /help to open the command menu.
- Select a command, or pass its name in the command option, to see its description and usage.
/help/help command:panelA command being listed does not grant permission to use it. For setup and security settings, start with the server owner.
Link to this command ↗/pingBot response time
Check Guard’s connection and API response time.
- Run /ping and read the Gateway and API values.
- Use Refresh for a new reading if needed.
/pingThese values describe Guard’s Discord connection. They do not measure a particular voice channel or confirm a voice attack.
Link to this command ↗/raidmodeRaid mode
An operator control for enabling or disabling raid mode and pausing server invites.
- An authorized owner, delegate or operator opens the command to inspect its state.
- Enable or disable using the buttons, or pass the optional statut value.
/raidmode/raidmode statut:true/raidmode statut:falseGuard’s /owner list alone does not grant this command. Automatic anti-raid responses are handled by the protections.

Link to this protection ↗Permissions & trust
Who is allowed to do what?
Discord server ownership, Guard’s lists and access to a personal bot serve different purposes.
| Permission or list | What it means |
|---|---|
| Server owner | The actual owner shown by Discord. Can configure Guard in Discord and manage /delegate. Also has access to Guard Public’s guided setup and dashboard. |
| Personal bot access | Personal bot buyers can use the dashboard for servers they own. Active delegated administrators can access only the bot and server where the owner added them. |
| Delegated administrators | Up to two people per bot and server, added by the real server owner with /delegate. They must already have Administrator and keep it to use Guard’s configuration commands, dashboard and protection bypass. Guard Public also allows its guided setup. |
| Guard’s owner list | Trusted accounts for supported commands and modules that accept this list. This does not grant /panel, /setup or dashboard access. |
| Whitelist | Exempts an account only in protections configured to trust the whitelist. |
| Module list | An explicit list for one protection. It does not add the account to the whitelist or owner list. |
| Members with roles | Select roles for one module, then choose whether any one role is enough or every selected role is required. |
| Administrator | Administrator alone does not grant Guard configuration or dashboard access. It is required before someone can be added with /delegate and for their delegated access to stay active. |
Keep exemptions narrow. Allowing an account or role in a protection means that protection may ignore its actions.
Sanctions in plain English
- Ban
- Bans the account from the server.
- Kick
- Removes the account from the server.
- Remove roles
- Attempts to remove the account’s roles. Roles Guard cannot manage may prevent a complete result.
- Timeout
- Temporarily restricts member activity. Check the configured duration and the result in the report.
- None
- Applies no sanction. The protection’s own cleanup or recovery behaviour may still run.
When something looks wrong
A few checks before retrying.
Guard does not answer a text command.
Check the prefix with /prefix and try a slash command. Text commands are deliberately silent for unauthorized accounts. A mention of Guard does not open a help menu.
A menu or button no longer responds.
Open a fresh /panel, /setup or /antiddos session. Sessions expire, and some actions are limited to the account that opened the menu. Also check that Guard is online.
A sanction is partial or failed.
Check Guard’s required permissions and move its highest role above the target’s roles. The server owner cannot be sanctioned. A report of successful restoration does not mean the sanction also succeeded.
An allowed account is still detected.
Check the affected module’s Exemptions setting. Adding a user to /whitelist does not enable Whitelist on every module. For roles, check the selected roles and whether the condition is Any or All.
Where are my logs?
Run /presetlogs or select a text channel under Logs. Check that Guard can view it and send messages. Anti-Mass reports remain enabled; they still need an available destination.
Channels are back, but their messages are missing.
Guard can recreate saved channel structure, settings and permissions. Discord does not return the deleted message history when a channel is recreated.
Guard Public is shown as a hosted instance.
The local dashboard is not connected to the public process on the VPS. Use the online dashboard to sign in and manage the servers you own. A hosted-instance card does not grant local access to public settings.
Slash replies use a different language from the server.
Slash replies follow the user’s supported Discord language. /langue sets the server language used for shared output and text commands. Guard currently supports 32 languages.
A protection acts before the displayed quota is exceeded.
A clearly destructive burst can trigger the anti-raid response earlier than a normal staff quota. Read the module, counter, sanction status and recovery result in the incident report.
